This is a White Oil Bubble Pot in Placerita Canyon along The Canyon Trail. It smells like Kerosene. It is more clear than the oil the bubbles up to the surface over in Towsley Canyon, where it is black and oily.

I like to hike and Towsley Canyon near Santa Clarita, CA is one of my favorite places. There are oil fields under this canyon and there is a "tar pit" where the oil bubbles to the surface of the earth. This video is of that "tar pit".
